Monitoring sediment fluxes patterns in coastal area, likerndispersion, sedimentation and resuspension processes, isrna relevant topic for scientists, decision makers andrnnatural resources management. Time series analysis ofrnEarth Observation (EO) data may contribute to thernunderstanding and the monitoring of processes inrnsedimentary depositional marine environment,rnespecially for shallow coastal areas.rnThis research study show the ability of optical mediumrnresolution imagery to interpret the evolution of sedimentrnresuspension from seafloor in coastal areas duringrnintense wind forcings. Intense bora wind events inrnnorthern Adriatic Sea basin during winter seasonrnprovoke considerable wave-generated resuspension ofrnsediments, which cause variation in water columnrnturbidity. Total Suspended Matter (TSM) product hasrnbeen selected as proxy for qualitative and quantitativernanalysis of resuspended sediments. In addition,rnmaximum signal depth (Z90_max), has been used tornevaluate the evolution of sediment concentration in thernwater column.
