Representative Sampling of Animal Feed and Mixtures in theDanish Agricultural Sector

Sampling of grain, animal feeds (solid and liquid) including importantrnmineral mixtures in the Danish agricultural sector is subject to anrnongoing investigation with the objective of improving existingrn(suboptimal) sampling procedures. Results from the first six months arernpresented here; the project will continue for two more years and willrninclude international collaborators (Australia and Canada).rnThe Danish authorities have instituted a system of control analysis,rnwhich contains a set of mandated sampling and analysis methods. From arnpreliminarysurv ey it was concluded that in fact all of the existingrnsampling procedures are not optimised in the light of Pierre Gy's Theoryrnof Sampling (TOS).
