Simulation of Wave-Packet Propagation Along Sloping Beach by TUNAMI-Code

The main numerical code of the tsunami simulation, TUNAMI (Tohoku University Numerical Analysis Model for Investigation of tsunami), is introduced to analyze the problem of wave-packet propagation. Numerical model for the Near-field (TUNAMIN) with shallow water theory for a long wave including nonlinear and friction terms is applied. The bottom friction is expressed by Manning's law with a roughness which value is selected depending on a roughness condition of a bottom.
