Spreading of hydrocarbons over the soil surface and their penetration (infiltration) depends on their physical and chemical properties, gravitation and soil properties. Laboratory tests were made in order to define hydrocarbon penetration in completely water saturated soil. The intensity of intermediate and final infiltration was measured. Basic data for numerical processing are obtained. The numerical analysis showed that the intensity of pollutant penetration can be calculated with satisfactory accuracy as well as the final time of the pollutant penetration.
