Rehabilitation of waste lagoons from petroleum and coal processing

摘要

Waste from petroleum, lubricating oils and similar materials (coal and coal tars) processing, accumulated usually in the form of solid or semisolid materials in waste lagoons, causes serious economic, environmental and health problems. Some examples of applied or planned technologies for the rehabilitation of these lagoons in the Czech Republic are described in more detail. Some of them represent an original solution to this complex problem (solidification of wastes into the porous structure of carbon powder, high pressure gasification of coal tar sludge with coal in gasification generator).
