摘要

The aim of this work is to check experimentally the role of inorganic matter dissolved in water to protect against UV radiation and in particular to characterize iron screening effects. We show the results of attenuation of solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation obtained in a present terrestrial extreme acidic aquatic environment: the Tinto river (Huelva, Spain), where a high concentration of metals, including Fe compounds, is present.
