摘要

Impacts during the Great Bombardment, tectonic activity and erosion have destroyed all the rocks predating 3.9 billion years before present (BP). Strong biogeochemical indications that life already existed 3.85 billion years BP have been presented and contested. Here we show that debris of the early Earth, stripped off our planet by impacts during the late Hadean and early Archean ages, can probably be found in the Moon. These terrene meteorites could still keep precious information about the origin of life on Earth.
