Crystal Size distribution with the Feed Rate of a Salting-out Agent in EDTA centre dot 4Na Crystallization

Solubility of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid tetrasodium(EDTA centre dot 4Na) was measured in water-methanol solution and the crystal size distributions(CSD) were also measured in the several feeding methods of salting-out agent. To ensure no nucleation and only crystal growing, a seeding method was tried out and feed rate of salting-out agent was controlled for CSD enhancement. Methanol feed rate should increase exponentially with time to meet increasing surface area. This theoretical modeling will be appleid for other salting-out crystallization processes.
