COMBINING SOLVENT EXTRACTION PROCESSES FOR ACTINIDE AND FISSION PRODUCT SEPARATIONS

摘要

The feasibility of combining multiple solvent extraction processes into a single operation for the simultaneous extraction and selective recovery of a number of radioisotopes from tank wastes has been clearly demonstrated. Despite the relative complexity of the resultant flowsheets, such combined SX processes offer a number of advantages over individual processes operated in tandem, among them, decreased space and equipment needs and reduced waste handling.
