摘要

This paper has shown the iniportance of selecting the right sound absorbing model to simulatethe behavior of rigid, limp and elastic frame porous materials for absorption, transmission lossand insertion loss problem. While the complex poroelastic model is general and leads to accurateresults, simpler models, such as the rigid and limp frame models, require less computerressources (memory and cpu time). Moreover, these simpler models are accurate when theyare used within their limitations.
