Sound Radiation of Circularly Oscillating Spherical and Cylindrical Shells

Closed-form expressions for sound radiation of circularly oscillating finite cylindrical shells are derived for far fields and low frequencies. The results are compared with oscillating spherical shells. The control parameters are identified and the sound radiation reduction strategies are discussed. Sound power radiations are calculated using the analytical solutions. Numerical results are compared with test data. Correlations are discussed.
