GPR TOMOGRAPHY OF THE STRUCTURES OF 'C'TEMPLE, SELINUNTE (SOUTH-WESTERN SICILY)

The NDT set of investigations, which have been carried out in a such unique artifact, are characterized by an acquisition technique appropriate to the importance of the monument: consequently, the obtained results shown a high degree of resolution and reliability, thus providing a very important tool for the new restoration project. In fact, in such situations, particularly handling with cultural heritage management projects, the use of GPR tomography seems to become more and more useful, especially when the seismic investigations, as well as the more invasive endoscopic technique, have to be avoided for protective reasons.
