One of the most diffused repair techniques in repair of historic masonry buildings is certainly injection of the masonry wall by grouts of different composition. The main aim of this technique is to give continuity and higher strength to poor masonries (usually rubble stonework) by filling their voids with a grout with proper strength and deformability. Nevertheless being the masonry voids randomly distributed it is necessary to test in advance whether the masonry is injectable and at which extent. The on site test proposed by the author consists in a proof of injection carried out on a sample of 1m~3. The control is carried out by measuring the quantity and the volume of injected grout.
