Fibre suspensions Theological properties are studied in this work. The fibre introduction, as any additive inclusions whatever its shape, modify the initial fresh material behaviour but, in the case of fibres, as the suspended fibres are slender, their orientation strongly affect the rheological flow properties. A fibre preferred orientation is induced by the flow depending on the fibre geometry and amount and the flow rate. Based on the state of the art in polymer reinforcing, a probabilistic approach is proposed and adapted to cement based materials. A critical fibre concentration concept is introduced and several experimental results validate this new fibre orientation model.
