Tentative Correlation Between the pl (plagioclase) CIPW Normin and L.A. Wear Percent - An Example From Precambrian Midcontinent Granites

The use of the short-form CIPW normative allows examination of data obtained from chemical analysis of igneous stone resources, and offers the opportunity of correlating that data with physical testing. In the case of Missouri granites, a tentative correlation has been shown to exist between Los Angeles Wear percent and percent normative plagioclase.
