摘要

This paper is used to evaluate the negative sequence currents (NSC) of two generators in a generation plant, which are connected to the power pool through four over-head asymmetrical 345-kV transmission lines. The simulation results by using PSS/E and EMTP are checked with the values from the wide area measurement system (WAMS). The generation power and transmission line conditions are considered. The NSC in the N-2 and N-3 conditions of transmission lines can be predicted based on the measurement values of transmission lines in N-0 and N-1 conditions. The study results give important information about generators connected to parallel asymmetrical transmission lines.
