摘要

The following two methods which are used to obtain Ti-based bulk metallic glasses (BMGs) with desired microstructure and mechanical properties, composition design and controllable phase transitions including liquid-solid and solid-state phase transition, have been discussed in detail in this paper. And also, the research prospect of Ti-based BMGs is proposed. As a result, these two methods have good effect for improving glass forming ability (GFA) of Ti-based BMGs and developing new kinds of glassyanocrystalline matrix composites with desired mechanical properties. The tendency of developing Ti-based BMGs is to obtain the application-oriented materials; namely, Ti-based glassyanocrystalline matrix composites by controlling the morphology, size, distribution and fraction of the precipitated phase.
