摘要

Airborne radar detection of oil spills can bernperformed thanks to strip map imaging. The key point isrnto reach a high resolution. It can be obtained directly withrnthe narrow aperture antenna of a SLAR or by the largernsynthetic antenna of a SAR. Using typical radarrnparameters in the computation of resolution capability,rnClutter to Noise Ratio, Nesigma0 and sea/pollutionrncontrast, SAR processing is shown to have betterrndetection performances and larger instrumented range.
