This paper proposes a new target trackingrnalgorithm for airborne fire control radar operating in highrnpulse repeat frequency (HPRF) frequency-modulatedrnranging (FMR) mode. Once a new target is claimed, a serialrnof multi-hypothesis targets are assumed according to thernpulse repeat interval, range gate and frequencyrnmeasurements. Frequency and pseudo-range measurementsrnare used to update each hypothesis. The combined staternestimate is obtained as weighted sums of the state estimatesrnof each hypothesis. The weights of hypotheses arerncalculated recursively according to Bayes' rule, and thernhypotheses are also pruned based on the weights. The PRFrnselection method that can improve the convergence ofrntarget state is also suggested. Compared with conventionalrnmethod, multi-hypothesis algorithm can tracks target morernsteadily with converging rapidly and higher trackingrnaccuracy.
