AT the conclusion of the presentation, the participant will:n1.Understand the organization of the brachial plexus as is relevant for regional anesthesia.n2.Understand the typical approaches for upper extremity regional anesthesia along with their associated pitfalls.nThe upper extremity lends itself easily to several very useful regional anesthetic techniques. Excellent surgical conditions can be achieved for most surgical procedures and with the use of continuous techniques, excellent analgesia can be obtained for the post operative period. Additionally, newer techniques such as ultrasound localization offer new opportunities for successful procedures.
