摘要

Helmholtz resonator array panel is often used for absorbing low frequency noise. The arrangement of resonators as well as their dimensions determines the panel’s impedance. One ofrnvery attractive characteristics of the panel is that the frequency band of the absorption is much wider than what can be obtained by a single resonator. It has not been clearly known yet what widens its band. This paper certainly explains the reason. Various experiments provide possible clues to explain it. Based on this experimental observation, we developed a model that can predict sound absorbing characteristics of Helmholtz array panel.
