1. IntroductionThe electromagnetic-wave modeling of integrated circuits based on printedcircuit waveguides has been recently entered in its third stage[1]. The first stage applied when substrate thicknesses and guiding-structure cross sections were small compared to wavelength. Quasi-static solutions were then sufficient,both for the propagation characteristics of the printed-circuit guiding lines,such as microstrip line, slot line and coplanar waveguide, and for the characterization of junctions and discontinuities of those lines.
