摘要

Aluminum-Corundum metal matrix composite were prepared by using liquid metallurgy. Apart from other tests machinability tests were conducted to study the machinability of this composite. The different parameters that were varied were the cutting speeds, cutting feed and depth of cut. The cartesian components of forcess were measured using an inductive pick up dynamometer. The results and conclusion are discussed. It was found that the cutting forec tends to increase as feed rateor depth of cut is increased.
