Considering the trend of wireless resource shortage due to the rapid popularization of smart device, this paper presents a small-cell network which works to absorb traffic of the ordinary macrocell-based network as well as Wi-Fi spots. The network supports terminal mobility, and is based on virtual single cell concept, which is, in short, multiple polling in an LMC (Logical Macro-Cell) which consists of adjacent cells connected with backhaul network and answer in a cell where target MT (mobile terminal) stays. The LMC for each MT shifts next to next with movement of the target MT. The fundamental discussions have been already presented by the authors. This paper presents improvement of data transfer rate of mobile terminals, and evaluates wireless interface overhead in comparison with 802.11a based WLAN to show the network adaptability to the off-load network. The overhead to hide cell-to-cell move is not large though the network needs ineffective polling in each data frame transfer. From the view of scalability, the processing and communication in the center node is not large and should be acceptable for implementation.
