The new, versatile dsc system pegasus~circleR for enthalpy and specific heat determinations between -120deg C and 1650 deg C

A new DSC system for application in a very broad temperature range between -120deg C and 1650deg C is introduced. Three furnaces with the application ranges -120 deg C to 750 deg C, 25 deg C to 1500 deg C and 25 deg C to 1650 deg C, and sample holders with different thermocouple types for DTA, DSC and c_p measurements can be selected and exchanged by the user. Vacuum systems with turbomolecular pumps for high vacuum, or rotary vane pumps and oil-free diaphragm pumps for fine vacuum are applied to achieve well defined atmospheres for tests on critical samples. The new design togehter with a micrometer sample holder adjustment and motorized furnace hoist provide accurate and reproducible results for the determination of enthalpy changes and specific heat in the full temperature range.
