Failure Analysis on Fracture of Vent Gas Pipeline

Failure of a vent gas pipe was investigated through visual inspection,rnmechanical properties testing, and analysis of construction andrnoperating conditions. Results showed that fracture failure was mainlyrndue to the transverse impact during the pipeline construction, resultingrnin the original split that not completely disconnected, and high pressurernin pipeline caused complete rupture.
