摘要

The present research is addressed to the investigation of the strength of steel coldformedrnmembers affected by local-global buckling interaction. The resistancernformulations are those based on the effective width method, EWM, and the effectivernsection method, ESM, for which reliability and partial resistance factor were verifiedrnwith the help of experimental results. Differently of the prescriptions usually foundrnin codes and specifications for the design of cold-formed steel members, the ESM,rnas an original proposition, aggregates the main idea of integration direct strength andrneffective width methods in the practical design procedures.
