Dynamic Sliding of Geosynthetically Reinforced Soil Structures

摘要

During strong earthquakes one of the main hazards of geosynthetically reinforcedrnsoil slopes is the accumulation of permanent deformations. For this purpose, therncurrent study aims at assessing the seismic response of reinforced soil structures, byrncalculating the seismic displacements via dynamic analyses of simple coupled singlerndegree of freedom (SDOF) models. These models have been successfully applied inrnseismic slope stability analyses after being properly modified to account for thernreinforcement. The impact of the flexibility of the sliding system, the stiffness of therngeosynthetic material and the interface shear strength were investigated. The resultsrnof the present investigation provide a valuable insight into the sliding response ofrngeosynthetically reinforced embankments.
