摘要

Recent years witnessed a shift from the traditional methods of data collectionrnrequired for pavement management system (PMS) to the automated ones. The costrnof the automated methods is beyond the budgets allocated to most of therntransportation agencies in the developing countries. This paper investigates the usernof cat's eye points as control points for rut depth measurements. Four highway sitesrnwere selected; each site was prepared and videotaped by stereo-pair camerasrnmounted on the back of vehicle travelling at speeds of 20, 40, 60, and 80 km/h. Thernstudy concluded that, the cat's eye points can be used as control points in close rangernphotogrammetry.
