Climate change has been identified as a major challengernglobally as its consequence can have social, economic andrnenvironmental impact on the global and/or local climate.rnIn buildings, the increase in external temperature willrnaffect the performance of the building fabric which is thernbarrier between the internal environment and the externalrnenvironment. The materials used in the construction of thernbuilding fabric will therefore have an impact on therninternal environment. Thermal simulation is used torncompare the effect of insulation and thermal mass addedrnto the building fabric of a dwelling which is naturallyrnventilated during a heat wave on the temperature of therninternal environment.
