Photovoltaics (PV), though not yet competitive in the economic sense, is a promising technology for future energy supply. In order to make PV more economical, PV integration in buildings is an option that may save money. The International Energy Agency has defiend a task "PV in the Built Environment" (IEA Task VII). Within the subtask casestudies the buildings concerned are "followed" i norder to learn from the processes and to disseminate experiences. One of these cases is a laboratory building, which is located in the Netherlands. The building, which is lcoated in the Netherlands. The building was built in 1963 and will be renovated.
