Foreword to the EuroSun 2016 International Conference on Solar Energy for Buildings and Industry

It is a pleasure for us to introduce the Proceedings of the ISES EuroSun 2016rnconference. Since its first edition in 1996, the ISES European solar energy conferencesrngather the research community on solar energy in Europe and nowadays it has becomernan international must-attend event in this field. For the first time, Spain hosted the ISESrnEuroSun conference in its 11th edition, an event jointly organized by the University ofrnthe Balearic Islands (UIB), the Spanish Association on Solar Energy (AEDES) and thernInternational Solar Energy Society (ISES). EuroSun 2016 has been a unique platform torndiscuss the latest developments with leading solar energy specialists as well as policyrnmakers and industry representatives. Topic sessions, keynote speakers, plenary sessionsrnand open discussion forums, as well as social events, have offered an exceptionalrnopportunity to network, to meet old friends and to make new contacts.
