Bofors 9LV Mk3 system---developing for maximum software reuse

Technical, management, and political decisions made in the design phase of this shipboard command and weapons control system (more than 1 million LOC), have led to a significant percentage of reuse on subsequent projects. The practical issues and lessons learned in trying to design for massive software reuse will be discussed.
