Is There Any Differences Between Foreign and Domestic Institutional Investor Activism?

This paper examines whether the influence of foreign institutional investor is different from that of a domestic one. After years' non-tradable share reformation,China's stock market has entered a full circulation era that ushers in the institutional investors as major shareholders of listed companies. It is well known that the engagement of institutional investors have a significant impact on firm value,as it exists many various types of institutional investors,and comes with different intention to establish company goal,my article from the foreign institutional investors started to study the QFⅡ (Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors) and domestic institutional investors, the impact on firm value,QFⅡ have to promote positive behavior through the improvement of corporate governance and enhance corporate value. The study found: Compared with domestic institutional investors,QFⅡ increase in the value of the company's more significant. That the introduction of foreign institutional investors to better improve on the governance structure of listed companies in China.
