The magnitude of impact force of highly nonlinear waves is veryrnimportant in designing ocean structures. Using a numerical programrnbased on N.S. equations, the impact forces of steep waves generated byrna numerical wave maker can be studied. To validate numerical code,rnsingle frequency waves are generated and compared with analyticrnsolution. The arbitrary steep waves are generated by the superpositionrnof each wave and the results are compared with the experiment thatrnshows an acceptable agreement. Wave loads acting on vertical cylindersrnare very complex and they can be simulated with multi-block gridrnmethod that can generate very complex geometries. Also the smoothrnwave profiles and the pressure contours across blocks can be obtainedrnwith multi-block grid system..
