Traditionally, safety, security and reliability have been the essential requirements for software and its software development lifecycle (SDLC). But in changing complex market scenario where customers' requirements are becoming local and instant, there is a rising need for an index which is Information Integrity(I*I). I*I is dependability and trustworthiness of information and is a key factor determining strategic business advantage. Its determinants are accuracy, consistency and reliability of information. This paper studies failure of Ariane5 not as functional errors but as Information errors. The paper analyses information errors in SDLC.
