As the existing fleet of U.S. plants continues to operate, a new and replacement power plant infrastructure will ultimately be required at some point in the future to address projected energy requirements. Therefore, in order to achieve fuel diversification while replacing aging power plants to meet future energy demands, nuclear power must undoubtedly be a part of our future baseload generation. The significance of maintaining the U.S. power plant infrastructure must be recognized and acknowledged today to ensure that we have adequate, affordable, and reliable electricity for the future.
