The high performance soil solidified agent (HPSSA) mainly consists of fine grains of granulated blast-furnace slag, fly ash, dry carbide slag and nature gypsum, which are combined in certain ratio, while theplain Portland cement is used as comparing specimen. The test results reveal that the unconfined compressive strength of HPSSA processed soil is more than three times that of plain cement processed soil. After phase study and micro-observation, it is found that comparing with plain cement, far more ettringite crystals in cylinder shape are formed in the course of hydration of HPSSA, and the interval of soil grains are filled efficiently. In addition, other hydrous products are more uniformly distributed in the soil. All in all, the uniformity and compaction of HPSSA soil macrostructure facilitates its high strength.
