Comparison and evaluation of different multiaxial interaction equations for welded joints were conducted using biaxial (bending or tension and torsion) constant amplitude fatigue test results found from the open literature. Re-analysis included results from eight different studies and was performed based on nominal stresses. Three potential interaction equations for welds were used in the re-analysis. The interaction equations were obtained from SFS 2378, Eurocode 3 and IIW recommendations. All methods were conservative but the interaction equation of SFS 2378 were the most successful in resolving the data to a single line. However, observed scatter was 70-100% larger than that commonly observed in analysis of uniaxial loaded specimens. In addition it was found that all interaction equations seems to give conservative results for proportional and non-proportional loading.
