Previously reported unreacted-core shrinking (UCS) models for one and three interfaces,grain models,lshida and Wen's model,and proposed multi-stage zonereaction (MSZR) models with and without solid-state diffusion (SSD) and three interface model with SSD were examined by comparing their predicted results with experimental ones in both cases of single particles and fixed beds of iron oxide pellets and iron ore sinter reduced isothermally with H_2,H_2-H_2O,CO-CO_2-N_2,and H_2-H_2O-N_2 gas (mixtures) at 773-1273 K.
