AN AGRICULTURAL INFORMATION SHARING SYSTEM BASED ON P2P NETWORK TECHNOLOGY

摘要

This paper proposes a peer-to-peer application framework through comparing the advantages and disadvantages of currently popular peer-to-peer architectures toward building an agricultural information-sharing system based on P2P network technology. Under the framework, an agricultural information-sharing P2P system is constructed in order to adapt to rural areas that have not convenient communication ways in China. The system separates index server and content server for reducing logging, searching and transmitting pressure. Although both index server and content server are called supernode, they are not traditional supernodes and play different roles. It provides a useful way for agricultural information communication especially for large audio or video files transmission.
