摘要

With the computer technology applied in agriculture more and more widely, crop disease diagnosis system based on image processing technology has gradually been applied to agricultural production. The intelligent diagnostic system presented in this paper is an interactive distance diagnostic tool for the diagnosis and identification of diseases and insects. The objective of this system is to realize the automation of the diagnostic process based on interaction of growers and diagnostic centre via the wireless communication system, to enable diagnosis in crops at the earliest possible stage, using images captured by the portable image capturing device (PICD). The time required to perform a diagnosis with this system was much less than that needed during traditional diagnosis. At the practical application of this system, the reliably accurate acquisition and timely transmission of the clear images of diseased plants is very crucial to the whole diagnosis system. And these are all implemented by PICD. This paper not only puts forward an remote diagnosis system architecture, but also details the hardware and software design of PICD
