ENHANCEMENT OF OPERATIONAL SAFETY THROUGH TRAINING AT SOVIET-DESIGNED NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS

摘要

This paper provides a brief overview of the DOE efforts to enhance operational safety at Soviet-designed nuclear power plants through the implementation of a systematic approach to training of nuclear power plant personnel. The accomplishments to date demonstrate the benefits of conducting these types of activities. They also demonstrate the mutual commitment of the United States and the countries involved to improve the quality of training of nuclear power plant personnel, and the extremely high level of cooperation between the countries.
