The packing of regular pentagons on two-dimensional (2D) plane is always a difficult problem to both mathematicians and physicists, for the pentameric symmetry's unsuitability for 2D lattice. Since Many biological molecules show pentameric structures and the types of their 2D arrangement may reflect the interaction between molecules, it is also significant for biologists to study on the packing of pentagons on 2D plane. During the study of C-reactive protein's 2D crystallization, we were concerned by such a problem.
