The precision sowing for wheat has two outstanding advantages: The first is to save the high-quality seed of wheat. At present, the normal precision sowing amount per hectare is about 45 to 75 kg but the amount for drilling normally 120 to 180kg; the second is to increase the production output. Through a lot of experiments, it is proved that 600 to 1125kg of output per hectare can be increased by using precision sowing than drilling. In total for the above-mentioned two items, 3. 89 billion RMB Yuan can be increased for our country each year so that the social benefits are very remarkable.rnBy combining with the characteristics of wheat precision sowing, we have designed one kind of new-typed wheat precision sowing machine which can be used with small four-wheel tractor (8. 8kW). By adopting the screw-slot feeder which is the original creation by us, the seeding precision of the machine is considerably increased so that a foundation for increasing production in future is laid. Except being used for precision sowing, semi-precision sowing and drilling of wheat, this machine, only with some slight adjustments, also can be used for the drilling of other grains. So, its usage scope is enlarged and utilization rate increased too.rnIn this paper, we thoroughly describe the design program of the Six-Row Wheat Sowing Machine as well as the selection of related parameters and simply state the mechanism of the screw-slot feeder of our original creation. This paper not only supplies a reliable scientific basis for the successful design of the machine, but also present very important reference value for the designs of the similar implements.
