DETECTION OF TOXIC GASES USING AN AUTOMATIC RECORDING PAPER TAPE AIR SAMPLER

A simple, fast method for the detection and determination of toxic gases employs an automatic: recording paper tape air sampler using chemically treated filter tapes which change color in the presence of specific gases in the sample air stream. This paper outlines the construction and operation of the automatic recording paper tape air sampler and its use with sensitized filter tapes for gas detection.
