Hybrid Energy Systems (HESs) are becoming popular forrnstandalone applications due to price volatility of fossilrnfuel resources and global concern on GHG emission.rnExpansion of an existing standalone Internal CombustionrnGenerator (ICG) system while incorporating renewablernenergy sources is taken in to discussion in this workrnwhich converts ICG systems into a HES. In order tornachieve this, a standalone HES consisting of windrnturbines, SPV panels, batter bank, ICG and bi-directionalrnconverters is mathematically modeled, simulated andrnoptimized considering power supply reliability, LevelizedrnEnergy Cost (LEC) and Renewable Energy Capacityrn(REC). Obtained Pareto fronts were analyzed and simplernmulti-criterion decision making technique is used to comernup with the final system design.
