We study crustal deformation across the Ballenasrnmarine channel, Gulf of California, Mexico usingrnInSAR and campaign GPS data. Interseismic velocitiesrnare calculated by time-series analysis spanning fivernyears of data. Displacements from the August 3rd 2009rnMw 6.9 earthquake are calculated by differencing thernmost recent observations before and after the event. Tornestimate the offset across the marine channel werncalibrate the InSAR velocity and displacement fieldsrnusing the corresponding GPS data. Unfortunately, thernInSAR interseismic velocity field is affected by residualrntropospheric delay. We interpret the GPS interseismicrnand the GPS and InSAR coseismic deformation datarnusing dislocation modeling and compare the faultrnkinematics during these periods of the earthquake cycle.
