A Shading Algorithm for Large Deployable Space Trussworks

An algorithm to solve the shading problem is proposed. The present algorithm was used to analyze and calculate the shaded coefficients of a unit of a trusswork unit during it rotate round the earth. The shading of the earth is also considered. The example shows the shading algorithm is reasonable and feasible, which is in good agreement with the illumination model.
