摘要

Consumers nowadays prefer buying products that reflect their own personality and characteristic. Therefore, in order for manufacturers to remain competitive, it is important that their products contains multiple sets of specifications to fulfill the needs of individual consumer. Meanwhile, parallel with the popularization of placing order via the Internet, this research combines the usage of the Internet with the concept of individual-oriented product, thus developed a prototype framework named Internet-based consumer-oriented product ordering and manufacturing system. The system allows consumers to have large freedom in determining product specifications, ensures that the production of chosen specifications is feasible, and also responds to customer real timely.
